Ardmayle back to winning ways

A winner at Southwell in March, Ardmayle made a successful return to the course yesterday on his first outing since November, making much of the running to score under Brendan Powell.

The 11yo retains plenty of enthusiasm and he jumped well throughout, winning with a bit to spare in what was a valuable race for the grade, with nearly £10,000 to the winner.

The handicapper is unlikely to overreact to the success and hopefully he can make a bold bid to follow up next time for his owners, The One and Only Partnership.
