This attractive and athletic filly has shown a strong level of form in her three starts to date and looks a cracking prospect for an All-Weather campaign, before reverting to the turf next summer.
By the excellent young sire Night Of Thunder, she ran an eye-catching race to finish third of 20 on her sole start at two, one place behind the now 92-rated Cold Front and in front of a host of subsequent winners, several of them very smart.
She returned a little later than most, making her reappearance at Lingfield Park in August and again showing promise in reaching the frame, beaten only by a next-time-out winner (rated 80) and a winner that has since been given a mark of 100.
On her latest outing, she finished a close fourth at Kempton Park, and having again travelled well through the contest, I am sure there is a good bit more to come.
That view is supported by a strong pedigree; her half-brother has won twice this year at two (rated 82) and they are out of a 92-rated mare, herself out of a half-sister to Group 3 scorer Magadan and hailing from the further family of Oaks winner Light Shift.
Sky Storm should be an easy horse to place on the All-Weather this winter. She has been in full work and is ready to start out for us. While I see her as a 7f performer in due course, she should be able to shed her maiden tag over 6f first before stepping up in trip.
