This strong, athletic son of Mondialiste is a very well-related individual and looks a really exciting prospect.
He was purchased at Book 3 of the Tattersalls Yearling Sale, since when the full brother has won the Al Bastakiya Trial in Dubai, recording a Racing Post Rating of 96 and also placed at Listed level. Furthermore, the dam’s half-brother, Raadobarg, looked a Group horse in the making when running away with the Irish Lincolnshire in March, taking a nice step forwards on what he was showing in the UK last year. It's fair to say the pedigree has had a couple of significant updates!
Though unraced, the dam is a daughter of Lope De Vega (who is an excellent sire and has made a very good start as a damsire) and is a half-sister to two black-type performers (including a Group 2 winner at two), as well as to the aforementioned Raadobarg (RPR114). There is plenty of ability and speed in the family, back to the great-granddam Dominica, who won the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot.
Sire Mondialiste, a dual Group 1-winning son of Galileo, has already had a nice two year old winner this year (also third in the Brocklesby) and his stock are in high demand; he had one sell for £165,000 at the recent breeze-up sales, that had been retained for £15,000 as a yearling.
This colt can be expected to make his mark at 6f-1m and is one we are really looking forward to. He has been very forward in his work, is a really athletic individual and looks a real two year old type. At this stage, we will be looking to start him off in early summer.
